Medley Minute with Fr Sam: She doesn't care about Angels, not even afraid of them when they appear. Not afraid of men either, even willing to risk their scorn by saying they took Jesus' body and lied about it. She just wanted to see Jesus. She had been loved by him and delivered and restored by him. This love gave her more courage than the apostles to stand by Jesus when they fled. It gave her more patience than the rest to stay behind at his tomb. So Jesus rewarded her by appearing to her first after rising from the dead. She became the apostle to the apostles. Would that we had her love, courage, and patience in seeking Jesus Christ. St Mary Magdalene, pray for us!
