Viva Christo Rey y La Virgen de Guadalupe, Long Live Christ the King and the Virgin of Guadalupe

The Cristeros, the freedom fighters in Mexico during the marxist opression of the early 20th century, used to shout, "Long Live Christ the King and the Virgin of Guadalupe!"

Mass Reading for the day

St Jose Luis Sanchez del Rio, was a fifteen year old martyr, who offered his life for the sake of Christ the King.  This little boy gave courage to generals which helped them to overcome the wicked government of the day.

Let us ask Jesus the Lord and King of the universe, for this great courage to fight and overcome sin and weakness.
