Just another week of giving some love to the brokenness around us: We’ve had 8 industrial AC’s fixed with a whole floor of our dorm having new installations, replaced an ice maker, pressure cooker, remodeled two bathrooms, and even filled in our pot holes! Now it’s time for weekend ministry! #GodIsGood #MendWhatIsBroken #MakeTheWorldBeautiful

Christian prayer is to gaze upon the Face of Christ, who is the Image of the unseen God. If you do so, the image of God is formed in you, in “a new spiritual way of thinking” and loving. If you constantly gaze upon the face and image of the world through excessive tv, netfixing or social media consumption, the image of the world and its corrupt and bitter way of thinking is impressed upon you. In my experience, you will turn one off and tune in to the other. Pray fervently to make the right decision and to fiercely guard your time of prayer.

Sometimes it feels like God is testing you. Like he’s a coach pushing you beyond any level you’re prepared to go. The Syrophoenician woman didn’t give up and neither should you. Jesus wants your faith to increase, but are you ready to let him? Trust Jesus. He won’t let you down and won’t abandon you.

HAPPY PRIEST DAY! “His example in the various works of priestly asceticism still points out the safest path to follow, and in the midst of this example, his poverty, chastity and obedience stand forth in a brilliant light,” Pope John XXIII said of St John Vianney, whose feast is today. Also it is my 11th Anniversary of Perpetual Promises of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
